possesion is 9/10 of the law

I think my computer either is possesed or it has multiple personalities. I tried the other day to download some pictures off a CD that a friend made for us and my computer would not open the CD drawer and swore I did not had a CD ROM drive. I tried to fix it, ran every diagnostic I though of and still it would not acknowledge the drive. So today, just for the heck of it I pushed the little button to open the drive and wouldn't you know it, it popped open! I took the CD home so I can't upload it now, but I am goign to leave the tray open just in case it decides that it is not there again! I am bummed because I really wanted to download those pictures, there are some great ones of Tim and Ashlyn, Jamie and Ashlyn and Chesiney and Ashlyn and I wanted to post them here. Oh well, I guess it will wait until tomorrow.

Forgive Me blog world......

....it has been 43 days since my last entry. Alot has happened in the world in which I participate. Let see, my house has been going through a mid life crisis, needing and receiving a new kitchen floor, paint in the family room, new carpet in Chesiney's room and 99% of the second floor. (Cricket's room, which is now the guest bedroom, didn't get new carpet, it feels left out I am sure.) The carpet upstairs was cleaned the other day, but still smells bad, so we called our trusty insurance adjuster and he said to have the carpet place write up a bid for new carpet in there and insurance would replace it. Tim and I are going to go look at new furniture for the living room and the family room today seeing as we have none for the family room. In the whole 12 years we have been married we have only bought two brand new pieces of furniture, a kitchen dinette from walmart for 79 bucks and a Lazy Boy recliner last year for my mother who was coming for Christmas, which had to stay here because she flew in. All the rest of our furniture in the WHOLE house has been hand me downs or yard sale finds. Not that I am complaining, they have served us well, but it is time for them to retire to the furniture junk yard in the sky. Not to mention the pieces we had for the family room got put outside when they were laying the new carpet and of course it rained that day. AND we are having this big party/celebration with ALL of the friends that we could think of (I think it has turned into a church potluck dinner! Which is wonderful!!) on Saturday evening and we HAVE to have somewhere for everyone to sit!

Okay, so that is the house story, Tim's story is much more interesting...so, he got laid off (is that the correct "laid" to use, or should it be "layed") from his job on Christmas Eve. Yeah, big opportunity for God to show how much He has control over our lives, not that he hasn't already been doing that with the house situation. So Tim has been using the time to work on the house, drawing some unemployment and generally enjoying the time off. He got a job yesterday with another company, but he will be back out on the road again 4 days of the week. God again proves how much he loves us not to let us flounder!

Cricket moved back home for about two weeks, then moved down to Jamie and Michael's this past Tuesday. I think it is going to be a good thing for her. God is chasing her as she tries to out run him...of course we all know you can't do that! She will tire soon enough and God will snatcher her up! I have full confidence in that!

So that is about all that is happening in my little world. I will have more recent pictures of Ashlyn to post soon.
